Its name means “meat-eating bull,” inspired by the pair of thick horns rising above its eyes, while its deep skull, powerful neck, and long hind limbs gave it a distinctive silhouette unlike that of other theropods. Living roughly 69–71 million years ago, it was a large abelisaurid predator reaching around 8 metres in length.
