❃ Es gibt viele verschiedene Pelikanarten. Die größte Art ist der Krauskopfpelikan, der eine Flügelspannweite von über 3,6 Metern erreichen kann! Die kleinste Art ist der Braunpelikan, der nur eine Flügelspannweite von etwa 1,8 Metern hat.

❃ Pelikane sind sehr interessante Lebewesen. Wussten Sie zum Beispiel, dass sie mehr als drei Gallonen Wasser in ihren beutelartigen Schnäbeln fassen können? Deshalb werden sie oft auch „Fischervögel“ genannt. Mit ihren Schnäbeln schöpfen sie Fische aus dem Wasser und können sie dann entweder sofort fressen oder für später aufbewahren.

❃ Sie sind auch für ihre großen Nester bekannt. Sie bauen ihre Nester aus Stöcken und Zweigen in der Nähe des Wasserrands. Die Nester können bis zu 1,80 m breit und 90 cm tief sein!

4. Smooth any flattened or creased fur with your fingers or a soft brush as it fluffs back up.

5. Want to speed things up? Use a hairdryer on low, warm heat, held about 20cm away. Keep it moving and use short bursts between fluffs. Never use high heat.

The pelican was vacuumed in with 4 other stuffies, including a reindeer. My only problem is I have not been able to get the lining of his beak to sit properly, The beak doesn't seem to be very large and the lining appears a little large for the inferior beak. Otherwise, he is a small version of an interesting bird.
